Ohio's IT Alliance,
Inc. ("OhioITA") is a state of Ohio Edison Technology Center,
chartered by the Governor of Ohio with support and funding from the
Ohio Department of Development's Thomas Edison Program. The Edison
Technology Centers are designed to aid in economic development in
various business areas from information technology to bio-sciences
to manufacturing. OhioITA was founded in 1998 and is organized as a
"not-for-profit" 501(c)6 with a mandate to focus on information
technology related economic development in the state of Ohio.
Our statewide network participates in funding local economic
development initiatives in the six regions of the state. We work
with our regional partners to achieve one common goal: growing and
improving the competitiveness of Ohio's information technology (IT)
industry. The regional partners represented in the network are based
in Athens, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo. The
regional partners serve as the local rallying point for their
region's IT activities and create the structure for defining and
developing projects necessary to retain and grow the industry across
the state.

the market leader in medium power generators for gas, steam and

The Mansfield campus of The Ohio State University was created through a partnership between Mansfield area citizens and the state of Ohio. In the early 1960s, the Ohio Board of Regents designated Mansfield as a site for an OSU regional campus. Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association (TRECA) is a Information Technology Center (ITC) Site (formally known as a Data Acquisition Site (DA Site)) - a consortium of over 40 Ohio School Districts located primarily in Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Muskingum, and Wyandot counties. We provide software, hardware, staff development, and technology integration support for our member schools. As one of 20+ ITC-sites around the state, we are a member of the Ohio Education Computer Network (OECN) which provides fiscal, support, and student services statewide to Ohio's school districts. Beyond these core services, TRECA also provides additional services to our member schools and contracted institutions. In addition, TRECA is the home of the TRECA Digital Academy, our new online digital K-12 community school.
AACED is a comprehensive economic development organization (EDO) operating under a public-private partnership structure. We strive to strengthen our local county economy in three primary areas: Business Retention & Expansion, Business Recruitment, and Contributions to Quality Planning and Quality of Life. In addition to our day-to-day activities, including working with our economic base and networking with prospective investors, AACED develops specific annual goals and objectives under this general framework. These goals and objectives represent, in our opinion, some pressing needs and opportunities that we are responsible for addressing.
